Villa Sz.

What an adorable house it would have been. The perfect lot on Wazów street in Warsaw’s Młociny slopes away from the street, all covered in apple trees. Aided by Dominika I sketched a compact volume with large glazed loggia on the garden side and a very solid street side. I grew particularly fond of the small niche for the Madonna figurine by the front porch – a classic Warsaw motif. We imagined it plain white on the outside with a contrasted darker veneered cavities for loggias and porches. Sadly, the Sz.s had to move housebuilding away into distant future and only the sketches remain.
