Interior design 2018 | Refurbishment of the cafeteria in Polin – the Museum of the History of Polish Jews in Warsaw | Concept design | Team: Jan Strumiłło, Jan Dybowski

Upon invitation by one of Warsaw’s finest restaurateurs we developed a quick concept design for the rearrangement of Polin’s cantine into a hot new deli. Working within tight constraints we proposed a simple concept of a new bar and internal partitions based on solid weathered wooden logs reclaimed from old houses. In this way we referenced the lost world of shtetls.
