Formed. Images of Fryderyk Chopin in sculpture | Temporary sculpture exhibition at the Fryderyk Chopin’s Birthplace in Żelazowa Wola | Team: Jan Strumiłło, Jan Dybowski | Exhibition design 2019
At the invitation of Fryderyk Chopin Museum we designed a temporary exhibition of the great composer’s sculpted portraits from the museum’s collection. In order to give the earthy-coloured busts and medals some spring zest we proposed light steel pedestals painted in fresh yellow colour. The matching velvet drapery adds drama to the 20-odd band of sculpted Chopins. For visual identity and prints we chose deep purple. Embossed type communicates the multidimensionality of Chopin’s impact in art including sculpture. | Jan Dybowski took the good photographs.
