Paderewski for Chopin
Paderewski for Chopin | Temporary exhibition at the Fryderyk Chopin Museum in Warsaw | Team: Jan Strumiłło, Maksymilian Dobkowski, Dominik Robak | Exhibition design 2018
2018 is the year when we celebrate the 100th anniversary of Poland’s independence. We are exceptionally proud to have taken part in the celebrations through design. The Fryderyk Chopin Museum invited us to design a temporary exhibition devoted to Ignacy Jan Paderewski – one of the fathers of Poland’s resurrection in 1918. We decided to use the deep green colour sampled from the background of Ignacy Jan Paderewski oil portrait featured in the exhibition. We complimented it with amazing organic roller-painted patterns. The same pattern was used to create the exhibition’s visual identity. To complete the design we deliberately picked an exceptional typeface: the Brygada 1918 – rediscovered and digitized from original metal casts to celebrate the unique anniversary. The good photographs were taken by Jakub Certowicz.
